WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT AND SHARE WHEN YOU SUBMIT A SAFE2TELL REPORT?
We collect the report information you provide. We share report information with program partners who are authorized to receive report information like schools, local law enforcement, and the Department of Public Safety to help a person who is the subject of an anonymous report.
When you open our report form through our website or mobile app, we automatically collect your IP address or device information. We store this information separately from other information we collect, and it is not accessible to program staff or partners except in very rare instances described in the following paragraph. Except in those rare instances, we delete this information after 72 hours. We do not collect any other personal information unless you voluntarily provide it to us.
Safe2Tell does not share any personal information collected when you make a report (including your IP address) except when necessary to prevent the imminent physical harm or serious bodily injury of a person pursuant to section 24-31-607(3), C.R.S., or in response to a court order issued pursuant to section 24-31-607(4), C.R.S. This is extremely rare.
WHAT OTHER INFORMATION DO WE GATHER ABOUT YOU WHEN YOU USE OUR SERVICES?
If you visit the Safe2Tell website, we collect certain information regarding your use of the website, such as your IP address, device ID and browser type (“Analytic Data”). Your session and the pages you visit on Safe2Tell.org will be tracked, but you will remain anonymous. We may use your IP address to identify the general geographic area from which you are accessing Safe2Tell.org in order to help serve content to you through the Internet.
We collect any personal information you voluntarily provide us through our online forms or otherwise. Personal information may include your name, home address, email address, phone number, or any other information you provide that could be used to identify you (“Personal Information”).
WHAT DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION FOR?
We use Analytic Data for systems administration purposes, prevention of abuse of the Services, and to track user trends. In addition, we use Personal Information we collect from you as necessary to provide support for your use of the Services. For instance, if you submit information to participate in the Student Ambassador program, we will use that information to communicate with you about that program.

We share your information with our third-party service providers that support our delivery of the Services. Safe2Tell will not sell, exchange, or otherwise distribute your Personal Information without your consent.

Safe2Tell’s website contains links to other websites, including websites operated by other government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and private businesses. When you link to another website, you leave our site, which means that this Privacy Policy will no longer apply.
