Safe2Tell™’s board members are representative of many of the agencies who are repsonsible for youth safety in the State of Colorado. Additionally, they are leaders in the community who are passionate about ensuring a safer Colorado for all of us.
The Board meets monthly and enjoys almost perfect attendance. 100% of the Board financially contributes to Safe2Tell™. The Board’s primary responsibilities include setting the strategic direction for Safe2Tell™, as well as fundraising, outreach, and advocacy into new communities.
2009 BOARD OF DIRECTORS
“Safe2Tell is truly a remarkable organization. I have learned, during my tenure as a board member, and more importantly as a parent and grandparent,
that safety for our children and community during these uncertain times is very important. It is an honor and a pleasure to serve as Board Chair for this remarkable organization. I have never seen such a group of individuals, both board and staff, so committed to the safety of our children and grandchildren.” - Steve Woolley, Chairman

“All students should feel safe and free from intimidation at school. The Safe2Tell program provides students and the community with an anonymous, non-threatening method to report concerns. Without this program many students would be afraid to tell what they know. I am extremely proud to be a part of Safe2Tell and look forward to seeing it continue to grow.”
Eric Jacobson, 1st Vice Chairman eric@csdsip.net
Risk Control Services, CSDSIP

“Students often know about potentially dangerous or unsafe behaviors or activities that may be harmful to others or to school facilities. However, they do not report the behavior or activity for fear of repercussions. Safe2Tell overcomes this roadblock to reporting and allows for preventive efforts to be engaged.”
Jim Walpole
Superintendent, Platte Canyon Schools
BOARD OF ADVISORS
“Safe2Tell is important because it focuses on prevention of problems rather than reaction to problems. Giving students, teachers, and families an opportunity to provide anonymous tips helps ensure that schools are the safe, positive learning environments that the community envisions. With a focus on prevention, Safe2Tell assists schools in providing our students the emotional support they need to achieve positive academic and behavioral outcomes”
Cyndi Boezio, CDE/PBS Advisory Board
“Safe2Tell encourages students to not only care about others but to also act in a way that can protect others from harm. The Safe2Tell tip line, either by phone or the Internet, provides access for connecting a concerned student, parent or teacher, to individuals who can respond quickly in order to protect students and help keep Colorado schools safe.”
Jose Esquibel, CDHS Interagency Prevention
“Safe2Tell serves as a network of champions and advocates for the prevention of school crime and violence. We are dedicated to empowering students to report acts of bullying, threats or harm to others and property to ensure safe, secure and peaceful schools.”

“Safe2Tell is an incredible tool for individuals to call and report situations of concern anonymously. The caller is guaranteed that they will remain anonymous, that the call will be reported to the appropriate authorities, and that there will be follow up. Statistics show this program has brought to the forefront awareness about violence prevention and empowered individuals to make a difference in the outcome of potentially dangerous situations.”
Marta Murray, CO PTA
“It is critical for the children in our schools and neighborhoods to have access to a meaningful resource that can effectuate timely action oriented responses to their individual fears and concerns. With the anonymous reporting option, Safe2Tell provides children and others a secure program for reporting where there might otherwise exist a reticence to come forward with information. By alleviating potential concerns related to ridicule, embarrassment, personal safety risks or identification of the repoting individual, the program builds trust and results.”

Jane Grady, CSPV
“Safe2Tell is important because young people need support to act as good citizens for the benefit of other people’s welfare. Allowing them a safe means to acquire help for friends endangering themselves or others is one such way to support their taking action. Safe2Tell is a useful tool to help students take responsibility for keeping schools safer. “
